About the 117-101 exam:
The LPI 117-101 - General Linux, Part 1 exam was made available on 11 January 2003 and was updated on 28 March 2003.
There are approximately 65 questions for you to answer in the LPI 117-101 exam. These questions are form-based multiple choice questions that include drag and drop, hot spot, and sort and order questions.
You will also have about 90 minutes to complete the exam.
The 117-101 exam is moderately difficult and you will need to obtain about 500 marks to pass.
Registering for this exam will cost you about $100.
You can register at Prometric or Pearson VUE at more than 30,000 locations worldwide.
117-101 Intended Students:
The LPI 117-101 - General Linux, Part 1 exam is mostly intended for system administrators using the Linux operating system. Those students taking the 117-101 exam should have knowledge of the Linux command line utilities and should be able to install, configure and maintain a Linux workstation.
